Bob Bob Ricard, Soho

In late 2021, Claire and I visited Bob Bob Ricard in Soho for an evening meal.

Upon arrival, we were greeted at the door and taken to our table. We left it a little late to book, so were unable to get a regular table in a booth, however, we managed to get a bar seat. This still gave us a brilliant experience of the Bob Bob Ricard atmosphere. Bob Bob Ricard’s interior is based on the Orient Express and gives the feeling of stepping onto a train upon entry.

The first thing to catch our eyes was the “press for champagne” button, so of course, we gave this a push and ordered a glass of champagne each. For our main course, we both chose the Humble Pie, a meat-free pie. This turned out to be a pot pie with a fluffy pastry lid, and some delicious filling. Normally, I would go for a meat-based pie, but I really enjoyed this.

Of course, after our main course, we had to go for dessert. Bob Bob Ricard is well known for their Signature Chocolate Glory – search on Google for ‘Bob Bob Ricard’ and most of the images will be photos of this (and the press for champagne buttons!). Therefore, we had to order one for ourselves. After bringing it to the table, the waiter poured hot chocolate sauce over the dessert. It melted through the outer shell and opened the dessert right in front of us. Very impressive.

Dining at Bob Bob Ricard makes you feel like you’re at one of Gatsby’s parties. Due to its location in Soho, Bob Bob Ricard is on the more expensive side, but the experience alone is worth it, with the food tasty and a memorable ambiance.
